Hām Restaurant

Hām’s name derives from the old English word for home and also relates to the restaurant’s West Hamstead location. Our client wanted this idea of home and homeliness, along with a nod to the location to inform the design. We drew inspiration from Kenwood House in neighbouring Hampstead Heath with the colour palette and Robert Adam cornice detail. Hām subtly mixes modern elements with traditional design details, using contrasting textures and tones. The effect is a warm and inviting space, the open shelving with planting, artwork and objet give the space a feeling of homeliness and the open kitchen that creates a sense of theatre.
